When Babies Burn in Hell

Quite a strong statement! Yet, if you study St. Augustine’s opinion of his interpretation of the Christian Bible.  He said quite plainly that babies who are not baptized- Shall burn forever in eternal fire! On his deathbed, he questioned God as to why this was so, but he got no reply.  St. Augustine was a very devout Christian.  The Catholic Church has even proclaimed him a saint. The only church that does establish who can, and who cannot be a saint. It’s recorded in the book “a world full of gods” that St. Augustine on his deathbed confessed that he advised an official to burn a bishop and all his followers in a church at Timgad. St. Augustine was convinced that he was chosen by God.  The Catholic Church and many other offshoots still proclaim his writings.

I believe the more opportunity common people have access to knowledge, the more beneficial it will be to the humanity that is needed to unify us.  It is a historical fact that many books in the Bible were not allowed in the canonization.  Therefore, the Koran, which comes after the Bible, is only one more man’s interpretation.  If we had the opportunity to build libraries in all countries with unlimited access to religious history, we could begin to create a world based on common sense.  We could realize that human beings have the gift of thought.  We could begin to understand there is a universal conscious.  And we could focus on controlling population, and saving the planet.  These religions tell us that there must come a chaotic ending.  Left to their own resources, people will try to insure that we do have a chaotic ending.

I do not wish to die in a nuclear war- burning. I see no need for biological weapons to be created- by any country.  If it was left up to me, I would take all our nuclear waste and nuclear weapons and create a giant artificial Sun around Mars.  I would then take all the things we use that create ozone and begin dispensing them on the planet.  I would then bring minerals and plants.  I would then bring animals and birds.  Once the atmosphere had become entrenched and water began to fall, I would then bring creatures from the oceans.  I would realize we do have the ability to create life on another planet.  It’s not a matter that is unattainable; it is a matter of overcoming superstitions.

It’s too bad that the majority of the Middle East is really controlled by the religious leaders of Islam.  In America the government allows the church some leeway; however, I think it would be most prudent to begin establishing regulations for churches, mosque and synagogues.  Just as we make sure there is no sexual harassment in the workplace or in our schools, it is time to make sure there is no longer any more sexual harassment in the Religious Institutions. God would not frown upon the government establishing rules and regulations about morality.  Morality is what makes society function.  Therefore, it is in the interest of Americans to demand that churches now become accountable for all their finances.  Since these are public institutions, they should be taxed like all other public institutions.

We know that millions of dollars are untaxed in the church.  In a country hurting for money to support Social Security, Medicare, and Education.  The church should not be offended when it is being asked to participate in helping these institutions.  Is it not the churches ideal to create a better world?  Is it not the churches profession of faith to do good and obey the laws of the government?  I therefore recommend any church that is “teaching children” should be regulated as any other institution in this country is.  It is only the secrecy that allows evil people to molest our children. Once we can make sure churches adhere to ethics and proper teaching of sexuality, the majority of our problems in society will take care of themselves.
