What
Determines a Weed?
How is it that
after eons of evolution, we decided to rename plants into a commodity? If all
plants grow and have been growing since our earliest times, why is it now in the
modern era that we feel we have the right to control the use of certain plants
for pharmaceuticals gain, but not our own? These plants are grown in top secret
labs run by our own government, or if you like, it would take a country the size
of Afghanistan to grow enough opium just to dispense the medications taken by
American citizens alone. If we grew our own opium and used the plant medicanlly,
as we take so many pills made from it. Would not we have a greater chance of
recovery` to just eat the plant naturally when illness or pain come on? Why are certain people allowed to make drugs for
medicinal purposes for profit, yet we receive no tax for the use of a plant we
could grow? Because more than likely medicines are made from plants or weeds. If
we had access to this knowledge, we would not need Medicare. If we could grow
the plants that heal our certain condition, we could use our money for other
purposes rather than all these expensive prescriptions. Only about 66 years ago,
plants had no such laws in the United States of America. A part of the local
pharmacist was to have plants on hand. People could
legally buy these plants as needed, or they would grow them at home in fear of
no such force as a DEA. Plants have many uses and we should all as a communities
of 280 million US Citizens have the right to grow any flowering plant we like. Too many people profit form the illegal status of
plants. We do not have to keep laws that even your good hearted police officers
says is “ten times less dangerous than alcohol.” That is quite a difference
from the propaganda that our Taxes for TV ads saying marijuana causes more
drivers deaths then alcohol? They actually think we are not smart enough
to know "Alcohol is the gateway drug" as it takes away reason. "We
pay the taxes", so we pay for the police and the political arena! We should
look at this` as a business. We are using our taxes to buy the rights too have
the laws changed if this enlightened generation wants too. My money is
hard to earn. I need medications but cannot afford the high cost of insurance.
Why not let me grow plants to treat my illnesses. I am smart enough to read
books and buy the plants and herbs to make aspirin and other forms of pain
control. People say marijuana is a weed. What are the definitions of a weed? Weeds are truly bad for us. Yet, marijuana medicology of patients’ is know to help sick people; therefore, it is not a weed, but a plant. Are we really accepting, and feeling content with the way government allows Capitalism to disfavor Veterans and Medicare? I really do not know how medicines are made. However, if it is only combining plants that grow on this planet. “No plants should be outlawed” Remember, big business involved with special interest groups in Washington has convinced us it has a "Christian Moral Duty", and we are all are expected to enforce the "Christian Agenda" if we are "True Americans??" Since when has Religion and state become so close that I am now forced into "Salvation" in the name of the Bible and congress? My taxes could pay for Medicare with 15% of what is spent on this stupid drug war. If Medicare got "100% of the drug war money", we could use the surplus to shore up social security. How do we stop all these evil people who make money from selling drugs to our children? We legalize the plants, we educate our children about responsibility, and we put all drug lords in the poor house. If drugs are legal, no one makes money off it. Sounds simple. It is… Oh Yeah~ Christians are a part of America, they are not allowed by the Bible to control it... Let them move to Israel and complete the genocide of Palestine if they want to do life the Bible way... After all, that's how we took the "promise land" from the Native Americans. Study the history of all this stuff, and Vote on issues that matter to your community, not some unrealistic religious ideal. Finally, If the Federal Government controls the "electoral" voting system, how will my single vote ever get counted, or applied? One Vote - One American, That's the way we should do our elections in this day and age. Thomas
