Test and Divided
Is
that not the true function of all religions?
To make us think we are now chosen by God? Therefore making us superior to our fellow human beings?
I think the majority of people who go to religious institutions started
out with the most humble desires. A great majority never questioned their faith
and died believing that everything the leader spoke was true.
In a world desperate for understanding, we gladly sacrifice all common
sense to believe the writings of men. We
preciously say it is a faith, and in the end’ all of the meaning will be
revealed from our Master- about the game of life. 12 play-by-play apostles have
always said that soon the end will come in its infinite mystery.
In a rational person, they know
there are no true miracles as written in the many different sacred books.
I myself was once someone waiting on the rapture. However, I questioned
why things in the Bible were so very trivial when compared to the atrocities I
have seen in the 21st century. I
was almost convinced that God had chosen me, just as he had chosen the
Israelites. After much study in the
Hebrew Bible, I discovered Jews entered marriages quite often with the
Canaanites, Hittites, Moabites, and Ammonites. Therefore, no true Jew today can
possibly have pure Jewish blood. Furthermore,
if we take the Noah story to be fact, then the only race that has survived since
that time~ belongs to all of us. Sadly, the God of the Old Testament was
severely harsh. Humanly wrathful to
the point if your son was rebellious and a drunkard, he was to be stoned to
death instead of taught how to recover by compassion.
Then comes along the New Testament
with Jesus Christ. It is revealed
that we are all born into sin. And
if this is so, then Jesus Christ was born into sin because he came out of a
woman’s vagina. It seems quite
clear that the Bible picks a special distaste of sexuality in the New Testament.
Even more disturbing, is what the church practices.
Throughout the ages, men have rewritten, omitted, and enhanced the
writings of the Bible to fit their agenda.
Consequently, it has not been protected throughout the ages by God to
come to us in a pure form. I have
received a spiritual awakening. I
have come to understand that men have wonderful imaginations, and in a time~
when writing was very scarce. Those
who had the ability to write religious matters’ influenced society.
When I finally realized the Bible is a book written by inspiration or determination, too control others, I could let go of my shame, my guilt, and my sin. I am not bound by any writings. I have a mind of my own, and I choose to do good’ not that I fear going to hell, but because doing good is the right thing to do. I am no longer worried about demons. I am no longer worried about judgment. I am very worried by how many people still cling tightly to this false truth. Human beings built the churches, human beings write and rewrite the books of Holy Scriptures, and human beings punish one another. God has never done anything evil. Men have written the Bible to deceive us about our true divinity. We are all independent agents, and we should not fear anything except our own lack of understanding.
