To taste love one more time

Forever, she holds me in the loving arms of a woman.  She is my comfort and companion.  With her I shall achieve my greatest goals and serve God like an unknown profit.  God is love.  It is written in Scripture, “this” simple little sentence.  Love I feel for the woman whom I have set my eyes upon.  She was created with the most wonderful character that gives her all the vibrancy and sexuality that God ordained.  She was made for man, to be a thing of beauty in his presence.  In the construction of a human being, God made them both male and female.  He installed them with passions, tenderness, and engageability.

It is this warmth that I feel when I think of her, a mild “token” of the lovely gift God provides with his holy spirit.  However, it is the most often felt “token” that God has bestowed upon mankind.  Cupid, this famous angel flying about two people, checking out their compatibility, registering their issues, evaluating their determination and willingness to sacrifice for love.  If only we could read the list Cupid wrote, maybe we would never lose the love of a lifetime?  However, this written word is to celebrate love.  For love cannot be hurt, and love does not hurt.  He is always there in God and in us.

And of course we have all wondered what is love?  How can you not know?  I see it, you see it, and we see it. . . it is what we do with it that we seem to have a difficult time cultivating.  However, we use it for our favorite pastime.  “I do it because I love it,” we say-- ! And so even though we may not have a relationship with a member of the opposite sex, we always have love.  Love is eternal, is self-forgetting, it is long-suffering, it is never happy with injustice, and its truth, hope, and charity never fail.  Love is what I need to offer to others.

She is the wisdom that fills my soul with the knowledge of compassion, kindness, and fairness.  She teaches me to love God and love my partner with the heart of an honest human.  My love is false if I do not have the commitment to be trustworthy and the keeper of my word.  It is words that allows me to communicate such beautiful thoughts and fantasies and imaginations of delight to the special person who makes my world such a wonderful existence.  And when my partner must be far away, I have honor, integrity, and the Christian Church to remind me of loyalty.

, To love again?  No, to love and forgive and rebuild and encourage.  These are the things of love.  They give us the ability to serve God, to love God, and He courtships the person, He allows us to be in love with.  When we pray to God, our loving relationship becomes blessed and sacred.  No wonder marriage is so very important to the church.  May I love and think not myself to love, but to think of those that I love and help those that I hate. It should be the least that I do for the sacrifice that was made for me by the son of man when he died on the cross. . .
