‘The Betterment of Man’

Or, perhaps I should have said; “The Battlement of Man”…. seeing as how that since the dawn of Homo sapiens, he has been battling his neighbor over one thing or another.  We couldn’t get along together, (as a mixed group) for any length of time until someone would be stepping on somebody else’ toes.  Of course, each one in that group will have brought some kind of knowledge, from his culture, for the betterment of the group.  You see, everyone must contribute to the well being of the masses, or else we will be caught-- alone and defenseless.

What I am addressing here and now is; this whole business of ‘Gay Power”!  Come on people!  We don’t need or deserve ‘special’ treatment from anyone!  All that is accomplished by pushing the “Minority Status” button, is that we only alienate the ‘recognized’ minorities, as well as mainstream hetero-society.  We are homosexual—a fact that should be carefully considered when making waves.  To the average, (and there are umpteens of them) Bible Believing Christians out there, we are an abomination!  That wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t all the ‘flamboyant’ and ‘Nelly-Bitches’ swishing around in polite society.  They are the image that straight folks hold uppermost in their minds eye.  There are millions like me who just want to blend in and be accepted as an equal.

My sexual orientation is my business, PERIOD!  The only thing that makes a difference is whom we have sex with.  If we conduct ourselves like society expects us to, then the matter of sexual preference should never be an issue.  It is only when we embarrass, or otherwise make people uncomfortable, that they retaliate with hostility.  I am in law enforcement, and as far as most of my co-workers are concerned, simply a nice guy who does a good job.  Even the ones who know I am gay, treat me the same as anyone else.  That is because I don’t make a display of my sexuality, or ‘camp-it-up’ with my fellow employees.  When I am at the workplace, or out in the world,,,.I am just a ‘law-abiding’ citizen, attempting to get along with my neighbor.  If I feel like fagging-it-up, I will go to a gay club, or invite gay, and gay-friendly, people over for an evening of fun and frivolity.

Wise up.  We sure-in-hell can’t beat them, so we might as well smarten up and join them!!  So, cut back on the mascara, and throw away those ‘bird-seed’ falsies.  Remember that we live in a heterosexual world……….always have—always will.

Live with it!
