He was talked to on the sideline and told that he could help his country by joining the service and inspire the youth to follow in his steps. A sacrifice that tells young men and sports fans that by joining the service you will make a difference. He would be shown on media and he would be shown to fight the enemy, and this would boost the recruitment for a war that needs sacrifice in a strange land. What is not known is he was also given the right to a new identity once his media blitz had enlisted thousands of young solders.
A man can stand before a field of oil and find his way to pollution, population, and pollination of thought. Our need to fight eachother on this planet does not lead to worthy results! People are killed, lands are maimed, and the media only enforces fear. It seems that without a different point of view, this war on terror can last indefinably. What is the common cause of so much bloodshed? Is it religion, is it racial, is it cultural, we have been told so and that is why our children must march off to war. They fight the battle of blood and death so our SUV will continue to support high gas rates.
There is no honor in my son, or my daughter being raped and tortured in a foreign land because my government refuses to mass produce alternative fuels and put these countries out of market. Once the multi billion dollar enticement is taken beyond one idea, we will know longer need to complain. The ideology is that Americans have forgotten how to vote. Had we simple information about WMD’s, we would stop making them. No company is without a paper or money trail. However, the average American forgets all about taxes, lawyers, and wars because they are so easily comforted by sitcoms…
The fluid of our land depends on the ability for citizens to know what their options are concerning bills and amendments that will affect the lives of our children’s placement in society. If we give privilege to those who are wealthy regardless of the crime, justice will have no power. We cannot allow capitalism to embrace religion as a way to God. No person should have that much control over a nation’s belief. No person should believe killing is a solution. Yet.., we think by killing another in war “somehow” makes us a hero. Even if it is done by friendly fire.
