Jerry Falwell says: "we deserved 911" and so does Pat Robertson, what type of Jesus do they worship? But will secularist groups and strict separationists complain about today's state-sponsored prayer services? Probably not. But they might want to respond to Jerry Falwell's comments 45 minutes into Thursday morning's 700 Club broadcast regarding the terrorist attack: "The ACLU has got to take a lot of blame for this … I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way—all of them who have tried to secularize America—I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen.'" Falwell's rationale is that the secularization of America has provoked God "to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve." 700 Club host Pat Robertson, who said he "totally concurs" with Falwell's assessment, has been preaching a similar message for days. "It [terrorism] is happening because God Almighty is lifting his protection from us," he said in a statement quoted by the Associated Press. "We have a court that has essentially stuck its finger in God's eye. … We have insulted God at the highest level of our government. Then, we say, 'Why does this happen?'" Is this why it happens all the time in Israel? Are we provoking God in Palestine? Ask Pat or Jerry! I wish TV Preachers would stop "Talking for Jesus" and let Americans choose their individual faith! There is a God Greater than the Bible... And, He is Good! When church and state were united, we went through the dark ages, do you really want us to return to that?
For those of you who have been reading my written word, I am sure that you have many questions about the man who built this web site. Let’s just say that I follow the “Christians” doctrine. I’ll try to keep it that simple. As I do attended church, and I do not profess to be a professional, theological, or charismatic religious figure. Being an American, I have a right to express my opinion. The only background and knowledge I can give you is that I have been studying the Bible now for about eighteen years since 1983 on a serious note. Since Paul says not to make one day more special than another, I choose to follow in his opinion. However, if you do have special days, then keep them. I will put the Scripture I am talking about with the sermon so that you may look up the chapter and read where I got my inspiration. I do not proclaim to be a teacher, preacher, or a profit. I am only a follower of the way. To help you with your studies, I use the “Good News Bible”. To understand the way I write things and not to cause confusion, I suggest that you buy a Good News Bible. It is written in newspaper language. Or if you like, the Bible is written in “American lingo”. The King James is just a little too outdated for my taste, and I believe that as Christians, we must read the Bible in our own tongue if we are going to understand it. I hope you enjoy these sermons and that they bring a real understanding of Jesus Christ, and of what being a real Jewish person is. Because I believe the Jews who believe in Jesus will enter the kingdom before the rest of us, we must all remember that Jesus was a Jew.
