Let me tell you a story…
There once was a land, great in power, Liberty, and justice. At some point, the country that Once focused on doing what’s best for the people’ decided they would tell people what plants, they may grow. At one time people could plant their gardens, and they could grow whatever they wanted. How is it, that in this day and age when we realize that people have been on the planet for millions of years. We can decide that a certain substance known only as marijuana has been labeled "the problem of the 21st century?" It’s nice to have "Laws for America." Yet, why is it that when our elected official’s do something wrong, or their children do something wrong, they never go to jail? Oh yes, there is the one or two. But the vast majority even after Enron: are still not sitting in jails? Yet, let us be caught.
We are told that drugs supports terrorism. If that is so, then alcohol is the largest contributor to terrorism in America. We know it’s a terrorist device because people drive cars drunk, our most famous political figures; even, the president’ was once a drinker. If he so righteous in his attack to stop drugs from harming America, why hasn’t he admitted that alcohol is bad~ considering his history? We all understand that protecting Alaska is a good thing for the next thousand generations to come. Yet the leaders of all countries think it’s more important to drive big cars and big trucks That’ burn considerable more fuel which causes pollution to endanger us even more. In the 1970s they were worried about the ecology and the ozone, today the ozone has a hole in it, and ecology has been sacrificed for corporate gain.
Our parents once protested greatly- about the injustices’ when they happened in America. Today, the government has us so afraid of speaking out about our constitutional rights, that we cower even on issues we know’ are important to us. If we legalized drugs, Americans would no longer buy from terrorist. The government can regulate it, the government can use portions of the money for drug treatment centers, and the people who have enough sense to vote this law into the next election; we will decide the common sense approach to take to "Solve the drug, on, wars…" We can afford to give Israel $27 billion, but we cannot find 5 billion to give to the veterans who have fought our wars, protected our freedoms, and are out they’re right now, but they will not have Medicare benefits! Because the president’ cannot seem to find the money?
I do not mind supporting our allies, but we were attacked because we permitted an injustice to continue. South Africa had a similar circumstance; it was called apartheid. I believe people on both sides of the war in the Middle East are really normal people, and they wish to stop the killing. It’s as if their leaders can only focus on his revenge, or is it greed? We are fighting a war in Afghanistan, but the true terrorists do not have a country, yet we know where the vast majority of them were born. We lost 3000 possibly 5000 souls on that day. Many records are unattainable to the public. It’s as if the Internet is the last possible place to go~ Too find the truth of what’s going on in the world. What do we see when we no longer wish to see?
