Jesus Was Given His Own Set of Rules John 14: 15-31

I like in verse 21 where Jesus tells us “whoever accepts my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me.  My father will love whoever loves me; I too will love him and reveal myself to him.” It is Jesus who will teach each of us what it means to have a conscience and what it means to truly love another.  From my understanding, it is a major deal that God will love us if we love his son.  God does not have any more wrath, condemnation, or hatred of us.  He has decided to let his son be the go-between.

We all enjoy friendships with rich people’s children especially if they’re nice.  To know that we have a friend with the most powerful being in the universe that to me is the good news.  I do not believe that anybody, myself included “lives a holy life.”  I do not even place religious leaders at a higher position than myself.  I understand through my Christianity; I am equal in God eyes with anyone else on this planet.  I may not have the same smarts, I may not have the same good looks, and I do not even have the same mannerisms as others.  However, I am equal to all when it comes to my relationship with Jesus Christ.

There are people who will never accept God’s son.  There are people who still demand miracles, there are people who still demand prophets, and there are people still waiting on a messiah.  I am comforted to know that in my limited knowledge, I am allowed to have a faith in Christ.  Moreover, by my faith, God will love me.  It’s a win-win situation when one becomes a believer in Christianity.  Not only do we have the love of God the father, we have a personal friendship with his son.  Seeing as Jesus was in his 30s before he sacrificed his life for his friends, he was a well-educated man by that age, and he understood what it means to be a man.  He also understood how to respect to a lady.

I pray that Jesus will continue to teach me, regardless of this simple body I live in.  May I submit to say “faith” will save me.  My circumstances are unique to my life and to the people God wants me to witness to.  Never think because you are doing sinful things that Christ cannot use that at some point in your life to correct your ways and push you into the life that is worthy.  I love Jesus because he died for me.  Have you ever been so in love with someone that you told him or her you would die for him or her?  I know that I have said that to people I love.  And to know that someone did died for me that I might have life, I respect God.  I pray if I must lay down my life for another, I do it willingly~ without question.
