I did not understand

Within this section of the Bible, I often wonder what is meant by some of these parables.  Apparently, the people understood exactly what Jesus was talking about?  One would come to think that the people had a full understanding on religious and spiritual matters.  They knew exactly what Jesus Christ meant when he spoke parables.  At least in this section of the Bible, the people do answer “yes” they understand these things.  I myself have had many misunderstandings in interpreting the Bible and living my life accordingly.

From these parables I learned that there’s nothing more valuable than having the kingdom of heaven.  It is worth more than a treasure found in the field.  It is worth more than one of the most finest pearls.  It is a place where angels will judge the good and the evil.  This is someplace in Scripture that tells us “the angels” will judge us.  Some people have concluded that when they die- they will judge us?  Some people believe because of the life they have lived, they are superior to their fellow people.  However, people are to be judged by God’s angels.

What does it mean to be a teacher of the law today?  What law in church needs to be enforced today?  Who is willing to be judged by the law?  And when we die, what law will protect us from the wrath of God?  As far as I understand it, love is the law.  People do not like to have their positions of authority and prestige undermined by love. They want to be able to make you feel guilty, they want to control you, and they want you to attend their church “in fear.”  These profits or people of God as they call themselves have no power over me.  If a church does not embrace me with kindness, with guidance, and with honesty, I do not go to that church.

The next time you hear a preacher talking about our authority in being able to judge sinners, try reminding him or her, that it is Angels who will do the judgment.  That is why I say I am just a common guy.  I have no authority to enforce anything on anyone.  I trust that God will guide me and direct me and correct me, so that I someday may enter into the kingdom of heaven.  I pray when the Angels judge me; they will find me worthy of a loving reward.  Only God can safely decide that Jesus Christ his son is the new law.
