March 12th - National Call-In to What's Happening: On Wednesday, March 12, 2003, concerned citizens from all over the country will call, fax and e-mail their members of Congress as part of a National Day of Advocacy to oppose the new proposed $12 billion aid package to Israel. Israel has asked for $8 billion in loan guarantees and $4 billion in defense aid. This "call-in" day is designed to show our nation's leaders that there is strong opposition to this plan that will remain silent. In fact, a new Zogby poll found that respondents opposed this new aid package to Israel by a margin of nearly 2 to 1 (57% opposed to 29% in favor). For more information about this proposed aid package, see our previous alert on the proposed Israeli aid package at www.capwiz.com/arab/issues/alert/?alertid=1568616&type=CO What To Do: On Wednesday, March 12th, call, fax, and e-mail your members of Congress and let them know that you, and the American people, do not support the proposed $12 billion aid package to Israel. To contact your members, go to this alert on the web at www.capwiz.com/arab/issues/alert/?alertid=1596661&type=CO. You can also find more information at www.aaiusa.org. This strong majority must not remain silent. You can make a difference. Thank you for your support.
