Recently, in
conversation with a straight friend, I was surprised to discover that he (and
probably most of the straight community) believe that all gay men had sex with
each other……NOT!!
Believe it or not, ‘boobies’, we actually have a morality of our own! I mean doesn’t that just “blow your Argyles off”??
Here’s how it
goes:
We meet someone at a
party say, or at a cocktail lounge, or at a variety of social settings, where a
diversity of gay men gather. Now, every gay man has his own
preferences…that is to say, we like certain ‘types’ of men. Some
gays like a man in uniform, or perhaps western garb. Some like Latino’s,
while others (like me) prefer fair-haired, blue eyed guys. When we meet
someone who attracts us, there is the initial ‘checking each other out’,
followed by an ‘open’ conversation. It is during that time that
whether or not we ‘click’ sexually is determined. It is often
discovered that the meeting produces a “FRIENDSHIP”! Oh, occasionally,
there will be a sexual ‘testing’…however, once a friendship has been
formed, there is no longer any sexual attachment. Of all of my longtime
good friends, (who were about a dozen), I only had sex with one of them a few
times.
Look Kiddos’, the
only real difference between gay men and straight men (besides, we, being
fabulous decorators, gormet cooks, excellent sex partners, and the
dreaded…”SENSITIVE”!), is our ‘preferences’. And you know what?
I could care less about what the straight dude does in his bedroom with
whomever! So what makes him able to stick his nose in my privacy?
Didn’t you ever stop to think, that by gays dating each other, it leaves that
many more women available to you straight guys??
We never intended to
upset anyone…we just want to be able to be together (as friends or lovers) and
live a peaceful life. Just like you. Oh, I know that the flamboyant,
limp wrested, screaming “Queens”, are a turn-off, (even to me!).
I just hope that someday, these gays will wake up and realize that we will never
be accepted in straight society until they learn to keep their “Camping” in
private. And so help me..if I hear the ACLU start shouting ..’that
encroaches on their “Civil Rights”…I’ll hit them over the head with
“Dr. Laura’…bodily!
To re-cap; NO,
we do not f..k our friends. It would be like having sex with ones brother
or sister, for Pete’s sake? All I’m trying to do is to dispel false rumors
about the gay community, gosh knows we have enough trouble dealing with the TRUE
ones…HA!
