Do You Have the Conscience? It is amazing that on the very day I decided to write this, I also did something unethical- at best. In the Lebanon section of this web site, I took a man’s information without his permission. At the time, I thought it was just free game on the Internet. For the most part, I do believe this is still true. However, this man probably put quite some time into developing his web site. Being a man of faith, I still have human instincts too overrule a good conscience. I thought I could possibly get away with it, and he would be none the wiser. To my surprise, he wrote me an e-mail saying he would have appreciated if I had asked first.
I’m just showing my own human
weaknesses. I believe all of us
fall short of true Christian teachings on a daily basis.
Therefore it is always good, to be a man striving to do better.
“Some men have not listen to their
conscience and have made a ruin of their faith.” A
very appropriate statement, concerning my conduct.
I could have done my own research, taken the time to see Websites
connected to Lebanon, and got the same results. “Laziness,” I believe is the best attitude I had taken
toward achieving my radio station listing.
Being handicapped I don’t have the ability to surf the Internet and
work on a computer. It would have
been the right thing to ask the man if I could just copy his links and not have
taken a quickie. 1st
Timothy 2: 8 – 15 I
must say, that I have decided in an attempt to make up for my bad behavior, too
list his name, and his website at the top of the Lebanon section and give him
credit for his hard work. Another
thing I like about the Scripture is that it reminds women not to worry so much
about make up, but too focus on doing good deeds.
I shall not talk about the authority issue at this time, and yes, I still
believe we are all one in Christ. But
I’ve seen too many TV churches with women and men showing off their expensive
suits, fine jewelry, and preaching a message of donate more more more.
1st Timothy 3: 1 – 7 verse three
in this section states “he must not be a
drunkard or a violent man, but gentle and peaceful; he
must not love money;” It
seems all too often to me that men I watch on church TV, have very expensive
looking decorations. It seems to me
these ministers love to brag about the riches of the world and
label it as the blood of Jesus Christ.
If these TV ministers would live in modest houses, and drive modest cars,
they would have so much more money too be donated to the poor.
Only Jesus could demand the rich perfume because he was going to die.
We live in a country here in America that is overwhelming with wealth.
I listen to the more traditional churches that are tracked by respectable
charitable watch guards. Sadly, the
vast majority of TV churches proclaim wealth in this day and age, have they not
already received their share of the kingdom in this life? I
believe the more we use our money to live modestly, we have a much more money to
donate to charity. I believe
teachers, preachers, and pastures in addressing the wealthiest churches, should
lead by example, and show us by their example how to give away our prized
materialistic greed. The day these
people in Christ can truly show us how to give charity and live modestly, will
be a day closer to the true imitation of Christ’s love; as well as, giving to
another when we already have so much. “Sutorism
6:66 Practice your danger, and it will become an art.” Thomas A. SUTOR P.O. Box 2343 Lompoc CA 93438
